Model as Building — Building as Model
Four models to be displayed on November 5 in the
Foyer of the Westin Hotel, immediately outside the session rooms.
The research project Model as Building – Building as Model was developed at the Graduate School of Design Harvard University in the spring of 2018. The premise is simple – Off-site manufactured buildings are nothing but full-scale architectural models in their own right. The group set out to prove this hypothesis using four case studies provided by the Edinburgh Napier University – Built Environment Exchange.
The models were designed and made by students of the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University under the direction of London-based architect and academic George L. Legendre.
